Like everything else that went into this mod, the writing was an undertaking unto itself. A lot of god people had their hands in the writing for this mod. It is because of them the stories have the depth that they do. The writing came in three phases with different people involved in each part.

In May of 2005, about the time that Oblivion was official annouced, I began to put together an idea, and the beginnings of the mod. I contacted two very good people Ashemanu and Proweler, and we began writing the stories that Windfall is based on. Over the next four months we worked on the stories, constantly refining them until we ended up with a document that ran over 40 typed pages. But it didn't end there. In order to bring the stories to life, these dedicated people helped write histories, backgrounds, characteristics, personalities, etc., just so that the stories would make sense, major characters would have reasons for there actions and attitudes, etc. You can a see a portion of this in the prequel story we have posted on the story page of our web site. Thanks to the help Ashemanu and Proweler the mod is far more cohesive than it might have been.

For the next stage of the writing, we contacted a very gifted writer, Malchik. Together we began the process of writing the various Journals, letters, notes, and short stories based on the documents we had previously written. Over the years many different people helped out with these to ensure that these writings didn't all have the same style, and to give them a more natural feel. In addition to Malchik, Daedalus, Windy, and NavyGuy, all helped in writing the more than 80 new books, scrolls, and letters, that went into Windfall. A lot of these works were just written to help give Windfall "flavor."

The last stage of the writing was, of course, the quests and dialog. The dialog for the main story line was co-wrote by Malchik and myself. Malchik also wrote some of the misc quests that take place in Windfall. This work, combined with the other story that takes place in the mod, combined for the more than 4,000 lines of dialog that went into the mod. Did I mention this was a big mod?

I want to thank all these people. Because of their hard work, Windfall's story lines are rich and detailed.

I think that Windfall storyline is great! Very interesting books ( I read them all!) and all those letters and notes bring spice to the story.
Dialogs are interesting and some of them hilarious! I had to save my game every time before starting conversation during quests because I wanted to play all options and read all possible lines and usually I never do that, but Windfall is so great! Almost all people in Winfall have their little dirty secrets and very different personality.

You are very talented writers!
